The Miss World Organization disqualified Alexandra Vodjanikova (Alessandra Alores) from Miss World 2009 due to several explicit pictures that surfaced after she was crowned Miss World Deutschland 2009 among other reasons. No official representative from Germany had been announced, the first runner-up of the national pageant is Stefanie Peeck. This is the second incident involving explicit photography; Sofia Rudieva, who won Miss Russia last March, was going to represent Russia only at Miss World 2009, but her nude pictures prompted her disqualification.
