Mariel Garcia from San Francisco de Macoris won the 2009 Miss Republica Dominicana Tierra crown at the Celuisma Hotel. The 20 year-old beauty will represent the Dominican Republic at Miss Earth 2009 in Boracay. Rosa Ortiz of La Romana bagged the 1st runner-up position.
