angelika jakubowska (19) from lubania, was chosen miss polonia 2008 during a ceremony held in warsaw on september 13th. the 1.76 m beauty will represent poland at the miss universe 2009 pageant.

1st runner-up was ewa chelminska (left) from kędzierzynie-koźlu, and will represent poland in miss earth; and the 2nd runner-up was paulina kwasniewska (right) from jelenia góra.
